Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that specializes in musculoskeletal and neurological disorders. Chiropractors take a conservative, drug-free approach to healthcare that includes manual therapies, rehabilitative exercises, nutritional and lifestyle advice. Chiropractors most commonly treat spinal pain but also have training in treatment of most joint pain and dysfunction. The most common chiropractic patient complaint outside of the spine is shoulder pain.
Chiropractic care is commonly the primary treatment for many musculoskeletal pains but may also support medical treatments that cause musculoskeletal side effects.
